How Vega ACMS works: from the lock on the door to the panel on your screen

Four pieces, each doing one job. Locks open doors. Gateways connect them. The ACMS cloud keeps everything organized. Your team and residents use the panel and the app.

The chain

Lock → gateway → cloud → people

  1. 1

    TTLock‑based smart lock

On the door. Opens with a card, fob, phone sticker, PIN code or phone. Runs on batteries and keeps working offline.

    Bluetooth
  2. 2

    G3P PoE gateway

One per floor or corridor. Bridges nearby locks to the internet over a wired, PoE-powered connection — no Wi-Fi dropouts.

    Internet
  3. 3

    Vega ACMS cloud

Hosted in Canada. Buildings, units, cards, residents, roles and the audit log live here — one panel for your whole portfolio.

    Web & app
  4. 4

    Managers & residents

Managers issue and block cards, open doors remotely and see every entry. Residents get an app invite for their own doors.

A normal day

What happens when you click

You issue a card

You pick the resident, the card number and the doors (or an access group), and set a start and end date. ACMS sends it to every lock involved through the gateways.

A resident opens a door

The lock checks the card itself — no internet round-trip, so it’s instant. The entry is reported through the gateway and appears in the audit log.

A card is lost

You mark it lost. ACMS blocks it on every door it could open, and keeps it in the resident’s history. You issue a new one in the same screen.

You unlock remotely

From the web panel, you confirm and the gateway opens the door. Who did it, when and why is recorded.

A battery runs low

When a lock drops below your building’s threshold, your technician is alerted with the building and unit. The replacement goes into the lock’s service log.

A manager leaves

You remove their account or change their buildings. Their past actions stay in the audit log.

Resilience

What if the internet goes down?

Doors keep working. Locks run on batteries and keep their credentials on board, so cards, fobs, PIN codes and fingerprints that are already loaded keep opening doors.

Remote unlock, live entry logs and new changes wait for the connection to return; entry records sync once the gateway is back. If a card must be blocked during an outage, a technician can apply it on site over Bluetooth.

Our recommended setup

  • Wired G3P gateways on PoE — no Wi-Fi dropouts
  • A UPS on the PoE switch
  • A separate IoT network with outgoing internet only
  • Dual coverage for critical doors such as main entrances
